All- The SKFR/BFD RFA feasability process has begun. The Bremerton City Council has directed the Fire Chief to work on determining the feasiibility of a RFA with SKFR. The initial timeline for this process has been set at 6 months by Council direction. There has been one meeting thus far to determine the priorities and tasks required to answer the most difficult questions regarding a RFA between the two entities. The attendees at the initial meeting from the city were Chief Duke, Asst. City Attorney Bagwell, V.P. Viergutz and myself. V.P. Viergutz and I believe it is in the best interest of the local to include all of the eboard members in these discussions as much as possible. I am inviting each eboard member to participate in the Collective Bargaining Sub-Committee meetings and the RFA committtee meetings as active participants. The meeting dates and times are listed below. Please be aware that there are likely to be more meetings throughout this process and this endeavor may be time and energy consuming. Please feel free to contact me or V.P. Viergutz with questions or comments. I hope to see most of you at these meetings if at all possible. We will make efforts to get on duty, eboard members to these meetings as much as possible. Please be aware that it may not always be possible to make that happen based on dept. needs/scheduling. CBA Meetings will be held at Fire Station 19 in Navy Yard City March 11th 1600-1800 RFA meetings will be at Fire Station 1 April 12th 1300-1500 May 6th 1300-1500 June 1st 1300-1500 July 8th 1300-1500 August 5th 1300-1500 Thanks for your interest in your local and department!
