On Thursday, January 28th VP Viergutz and I met with Asst. City Atty. Bagwell, Councilman Brockus, Councilman McConnell, and Chief Duke to discuss the Amalgamation vote by our local. I disclosed the vote results and informed the sub-committee that the local was split 50-50 on the merger discussion in any fashion. The city council will discuss the issue on February 10th at a study session and vote on the issue February 17th at the regular council meeting.
